This
delightful apartment is situated on the seaward end of the Esplanade and
occupies the whole first floor of a listed traditional stone cottage
built in 1840 and formerly part of the Menabilly estate. It has super views over Fowey harbour and out to sea and is within
a few minutes walk of the beach at Readymoney Cove, St Catherine’s
Castle and the coastal walks to Gribben Head. The centre of Fowey with
all its popular quays, shops and inns is a similar distance in the other
direction.
There are two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size
double bed and excellent harbour views and the other bedroom has two
2’6” single beds. There is
a bathroom with a bath with electric shower over, toilet and washbasin. The spacious living room has a range of seating, dining
table, colour television and coal effect gas fire in a traditional
granite fireplace. The living room windows overlook the harbour and the
window seats are an excellent place to sit and enjoy the panoramic
views. There is a modern, well-equipped kitchen fitted with gas hob,
electric eye level oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer.
Bed linen is supplied and the cost of all electricity and gas
central heating is included in the rent.
The apartment is self-contained with its own entrance from
the porch at ground level.
A washing machine and chest freezer are provided in the porch for
visitor's use. Although
there is no garden, there is a small courtyard with a bench at the side
of the property and the beach is a short walk away. It is usually
possible to park in the road around 30 yards from the property.
Alternatively the nearest car park is around 500 yards away. You
may stop to unload immediately outside the property.
We regret pets are not allowed at this property.
