The parish of Lanteglos by Fowey is bounded by water on three sides and boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in Cornwall.  The “valley church” which gives the parish its name was made famous by Daphne du Maurier.  Just south of the church, the coastline is dominated by Pencarrow Head.  On a clear day it is from here that you can see from Rame Head to the Lizard.

Colquite Cottage is an attractive south facing property which has been furnished and equipped to provide very comfortable accommodation and is ideally situated for a relaxing holiday.  The nearest beaches are within a few minutes drive and there is unlimited walking which is directly accessible from the cottage.  The car ferry from Bodinnick  provides easy access to Fowey which is around one and a half miles away.

The accommodation is arranged on three levels.  On the lower level, the spacious master bedroom has a beamed ceiling and a king size double bed.  A small lobby leads off the bedroom to a separate shower room with toilet. The pleasant living/dining room enjoys the sun throughout the day and French doors lead to the sheltered patio and garden.  A colour television with video and SKY (including sport) is provided.  There is a well-equipped compact kitchen with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer and microwave.  The kitchen has beautiful views across the Penpol valley to the ancient church at St Veep.  From the kitchen, six steps lead to two bedrooms both with sloping ceilings.  One has a double bed and the other has two single beds.  There is an adjoining bathroom with bath and electric shower. Visitors may also use the utility room that has a washing machine and tumble dryer and is shared with the owner’s property. 

Bed linen is provided and a cot and highchair are available if required.  Garden furniture and a barbecue are supplied.  The cost of electricity and central heating are included in the rent.   There is ample parking for cars and small boats. Within a mile is an excellent slip-way at Penmarlem Quay.  Details of charges for launching can be obtained from Fowey Harbour Commissioners.
