Set in a peaceful location beside the tidal river Fowey and surrounded by beautiful terraced gardens Merrifield is an extremely attractive waterside house.  Little Merrifield is an entirely self-contained wing of the main house.  It has been carefully equipped to provide a comfortable holiday home that will appeal to boating enthusiasts, birdwatchers or anyone who likes to stay in a quiet waterside setting.   View of Merrifield House from Mixtow Pill

There is a large double bedroom with en-suite shower room.  The comfortable living room has a colour television and video.  There is a separate, well-equipped kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave and fridge freezer. Heating is provided by night storage heaters and the cost of electricity is included in the rent.  All bed linen is supplied.

There is a private area of garden beside the property where visitors may sit.  The owners are also happy for visitors to use the garden of the main house.  Small boats can be launched beside the property and a frape type mooring is available if required.  A dinghy can be hired for use at this property. Please ask for details when booking as availability is limited.

Fowey is less than a mile by boat or two miles by road via the Bodinnick Ferry.  The nearest pub is the Old Ferry Inn in Bodinnick.  Parking for one car is provided.  Pets are not allowed at this property.
