from the water's edge, Mixtow Cottage is an ideal vantage point for watching the
boating and shipping activity in Fowey Harbour.
It looks south, downstream towards Bodinnick on the east bank and Fowey
on the west. Visitors wishing to
get afloat themselves will appreciate the convenience of the private quay,
slip-way and dinghy mooring, with water at all states of the tide, within 20
yards of the cottage.
There are
two bedrooms (a double room with harbour views and another with two single beds)
and a shower room.
The living
room/kitchen has seating and dining space for four and a compact kitchen area
with an electric cooker, fridge and microwave.
A colour television and video are provided and a door leads from the
living room to the sheltered patio and pleasant garden. The rent
includes oil fired central heating and electricity.
All
bed linen is supplied and a cot and high chair are available if required.
There is a
garage for one car and parking space for a second car or boat trailer. The Old
Ferry Inn at Bodinnick and the ferry to Fowey are about 1 ½ miles by road or ¾
of a mile using the public footpath from Mixtow.
A dinghy can
be hired for use at this property. Please ask for details when booking as
availability is limited.
Pets are not
allowed at this property.
