Stepaside is an open beam cottage dating back to 1620 which was probably built for use by one of the many local fishermen of that time. The cottage is newly refurbished and being located right beside Fowey Estuary has extensive views of the harbour and National Trust woodlands between Polruan and Bodinnick. The shops and quays in Fowey are only a few minutes walk from the cottage.
The accommodation is arranged on three floors. Set back from the street the entrance brings you in on the middle floor where there is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room with toilet and washbasin. Also on this floor is a snug seating area with a bay window giving fabulous views over the harbour.
Upstairs there is a family bathroom and two bedrooms both with excellent views of the estuary. One is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room, toilet and washbasin. The other bedroom with two single beds, has the use of the top floor family bathroom.
The lowest level is an open plan kitchen / dining area with glazed doors leading to the waterside garden. There is also a range of comfortable seating, a flat screen television, DVD, iPod docking station with radio and broadband internet access. The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A separate cloakroom is also found on the middle level.
The garden is largely paved and ends at the water’s edge, with steps down to the foreshore.
Stepaside has gas-fired central heating. The cost of all electricity and gas are included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are supplied.
There is a car and dinghy park some four hundred yards from the cottage. The cottage is not recommended for children under eight due to the water frontage. Some visitors may also find it inconvenient as it is on three levels.
No mooring is available with this cottage but a dinghy with a mooring can normally be hired from a local boatyard.

A booking fee of £16 is also charged. Any additional charges such as for books or maps will be added to the cost of your holiday.

Payment terms
For advanced bookings, you can pay a 40% deposit then the balance one month before the holiday start date. For bookings less than a month away full payment is required on booking.
